Introduction

Our privacy commitment
We will protect your privacy by adopting a high-level of site security and sticking to strict company policies on how we store and use personal information. This privacy policy may be updated. If we make any changes to our privacy policy, we will post the revisions on our site.

1. The information we collect and how we use it
1.1 Users

To access the sites, you may need to register with us. To access restricted parts of the websites we will need to obtain other details from you. All mandatory information is indicated.

Once you start using the site, we may track and keep a record of the pages you visit. We collect this data from groups of users to get a sense of how people are using our site and which topics are most popular. This helps us improve what we offer on our sites.

Unless you have requested otherwise upon registration, we may use your personal data to email you with other information that may be of interest. If you do not wish to receive such information you can opt out of these email communications at any time.

We feature a few sections where you can add additional information. Participation is voluntary but certain information in mandatory, as indicated.

1.2 IP addresses
Each time you use the Internet, your Internet service provider assigns your computer a number called an IP address. This number may be the same or different each time you go online. The websites use visitors’ IP addresses to gather general data about site traffic. Each time your computer requests information from our site, we log your IP address on our server. We cannot identify you from your IP address.

1.3 To whom will we disclose information about you?
We will not disclose your personal data to any third party other than:

* (i) in the case of Arclight only:

* (ii) those who provide IT and support services to us and only where bound by duties of confidentiality

* (iii) where legally bound to

1.4 Can you change the information we hold about you?
Where your details become outdated you can alter them in your Account Settings.

2. How personal information stored and protected
Your personal data is stored in our databases, which is only available to the web administrators and authorised people on a password-protected basis.

2.1 Security
We understand the security of your information is important to you, and that our success as a publisher on the web relies on our ability to communicate with you securely. We adhere to the highest standards of decency, fairness, and integrity. We use several measures to authenticate your identity when you visit our site. We also protect your information as it travels the Internet, and to make sure all information is as secure as possible against unauthorised access and use. We review our security measures regularly.

Despite our best efforts, and the best efforts of other firms, “perfect security” does not exist on the Internet, or anywhere else.

2.2 Authentication
You should not share your user-name and password with other people. If you think you might lose or forget these identifiers, write them down and keep each in a separate place.

2.3 Email
Any email between you and Arclight is not encrypted. It will be stored securely within our corporate firewall (see below).

2.4 Data within our walls
The information we collect about people visiting the site is stored in secure environments that are not available to any other individual or party. We have mechanisms in place to protect data. One such mechanism is called a “firewall.” A firewall is a barrier that allows only authorised traffic through. It safeguards our computer systems and your information. We also use system and application logs to track all access. We review these logs periodically and investigate any anomalies or discrepancies.

3. Use of cookies
Once you have accessed the websites, we will store a temporary ‘cookie’ on your computer, indicating that you are authorised to use the site. Cookies are small text files that are saved by your web browser and enable you to move throughout the site without having to sign in each time you look at a different page. We cannot identify you from these cookies. They simply tell us whether the same person or two different people have requested pages.

The cookies we use are ‘session cookies’, which means they disappear when you shut down your Web browser. Use of this website is conditional on a session cookie being in place, and if you do not agree to this, you should not use these websites.

When you log in, a ‘remember me’ check box will appear. If you tick this then we will also store another cookie that lasts for 6 months. This allows us to recognise who you are the next time you visit our sites so you do not have to type in your user name and password. However, it means that someone with access to the computer you use could find out your login details. So, we recommend that you do not make use of this feature if you access the sites from a shared computer or where you have any concerns about security.

More information about Cookies, including how to block them or delete them, can be found at http://www.aboutcookies.org.

4. Contact us
We welcome what you like or do not like about our sites. We will never allow anyone outside our organisation to read your emails to us. Also you may wish to contact us for other reasons through our Contact Us section.

5. Linking to external sites
Occasionally, you will face links to other sites that are not related to Arclight. Please be aware that once you click to one of these sites, you are subject to that site’s privacy policy and not ours. You may wish to review the privacy policy for each site you visit.

6. Your consent
By giving your information, you consent to the use of that information as set out in this policy. You should review this policy regularly, to note any changes to how we collect and use personal information.

Thank you for reviewing this information.
